Botswana 2014

A return to Botswana was being discussed from the moment we returned home. So a couple of years later we were back, this time in the green season. Once again Letaka Safaris were running the mobile camping and it was as wonderful as the previous time.

When people ask what the differences are between Botswana and the other safari destinations, the first thing that comes to mind are the landscapes, lush and water -filled in April. A flight out to our first camp in a Cesna was a beautiful experience.

The first camp was stunning, near to a flooded area that was just magical at first light.

Of course, the main attraction was the wildlife which did not disappoint, including our first (and amazing sightings of wild dogs), lions hunting and a range of stunning birds.
